Today the task was Anemone is not the Enemy. I had to watch to a story called ‘Anemone Is Not The Enemy’, it is about making friends and self acceptance. I watched it with my brothers who are 6 and 4 years old. My brother’s wanted to help me with creating our own rock pool. We used mums new plastic box, spare pebble gravel from our fish tank, shells and rocks we collected from the beach last week and my youngest brothers sea animals. This is what we created.
We had a squid, octopus see all stingray seal and my little brother wanted a seal on the rocks as he was protecting the rock pool.
Octopus Fun Fact – Everyone thinks an octopus Has It arms but it really has six arms and two legs.
Squid Fun Facts – Squids have the largest eyes in the animal kingdom.
Seal Fun Fact: Seals sleep on land and in the water.
Stingray Fun Fact- A stingray contains venom in its tail but its not the venom itself that can cause death but the puncture wound that the barb causes, this will kill a human if the barb goes into chest or neck. Steve Irwin was killed by a stingrays barb that not only punctured his lung but went into his heart causing him to bleed to death, He was unaware that it had got his heart until it was to late, when this happened he was trying to film stingrays in their natural environment to bring awareness to the fact the a lot of stingray species are under threat of extinction.
